I have been using AutoCAD since release 10 and it never ceases to amaze me that no matter how much I know about AutoCAD, there is always so much more that I don't know about it.
Example, I was working with the Action Recorder today in AutoCAD 2009 (I'm a beta tester and have a pre-release copy to test) trying to set up a macro that offsets objects a certain distances. I have always done this, offset to a specific distance. I did not know that you could offset to a specific point!!! Instead of entering a distance to offset, use the THROUGH option. The place were you pick is where it will go!!
